The other half of the company: crosslinkers and composite resins for temperatures ordinary plastics cannot survive, invisible in both the news flow and the segment reporting.

The recycling business is where Nexam Chemical's news flow is. The high temperature business is the other half of the company, selling into aerospace composites, electronics and insulation, where the requirement is not circularity but survival at temperatures that destroy ordinary plastics.

The guides

Why this half is harder to value

Three reasons, all structural:

  • It does not appear as a segment. The company's second quarter 2026 report uses Performance Masterbatch and Performance Chemicals, and high temperature sits inside the second without a published split.
  • Its news is old. Every commercial announcement since September 2025 has concerned recycling, lightweighting or distribution.
  • Its customers are formulators on long qualification cycles, so revenue arrives in lumps years after the technical work, and a single repeat order can move a quarter.

What it has going for it

Specialty chemistry sold into qualified formulations is sticky. Once a crosslinker is written into a prepreg recipe that has passed aerospace qualification, changing it is a programme decision, not a purchasing one. That makes the revenue durable in a way masterbatch volume is not, which is the mirror image of the recycling business and the reason both exist in the same company.

The quarterly figures, with their sources, are in the data room.
